Description:Chapter Next is a 12-16 week paid returnship hosted by Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems.
During this returnship participants will become part of a community of similarly experienced professionals with challenging work scopes that contribute to the great innovation produced by Lockheed Martin. Selected candidates will be exposed to comprehensive training, professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and individual based mentoring
Fields of focus will be diverse across the program and include functional and technical opportunities.
This returnship position is for Electrical Engineering and will be located in Owego, NY. Information specific to the role and responsibilities includes:
Reporting to Product Engineering, Electronic Warfare, and LTA Technologies the selected individual will contribute to the Advanced Integrated Products organization in the following ways:
Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom electronic hardware and/or other electrical components.
Develops designs for the integration of components and assemblies into platforms including form factor chasses, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters.
Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.
Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.
Performs Hardware design activities for various programs and IRAD projects
Designs and develops in one or more of the following specialty areas: Circuit Card Design, Digital Circuit Card Design, Digital Board Design, RF Design, RF Circuit Card Design, RF Board Design, Antenna Design, Firmware/FPGA Design, Digital Signal Processing Design, Optical Design, Electronic Warfare System Architecture or Algorithm Design, or able to lead a team of designers with overall technical Electronic Warfare or Electronic System expertise.
Generates requirements, schematics, and design documents.
Works with Hardware Engineering Team to complete Hardware Development
Interfaces with Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, System Engineers, Suppliers, Component Engineering, Program Managers, and other project team members as needed to develop cost effective, high quality designs, and meet all customer objectives and program milestones.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's Degree.
Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Strong Business Acumen including effective oral, written and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills and report development, metric and trend analysis
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) experience
Organized and detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks concurrently

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
